For the opening gig of the tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, tickets were listed on StubHub for between £916 and £4,519 within just an hour of the pre-sale start. Similarly, standing tickets for Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 12 were also listed for over £4,000.
Oasis’s promoters have previously stated that tickets should only be resold through their official partners—Twickets and Ticketmaster—and only at face value. According to the terms and conditions on the band’s website, “Selling tickets through unauthorized resale platforms will breach these T&Cs, and those tickets may be canceled.” The promoters have reiterated that tickets purchased at inflated prices from unauthorized platforms “may be canceled.”
On Friday, the band issued a full statement addressing the issue: “We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale. Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.” Both Viagogo and StubHub have been contacted for comment regarding the situation.

The response to the pre-sale has been one of significant excitement and joy for many Oasis fans. On Thursday, Oasis’s promoters reported “unprecedented demand” for the pre-sale ballot and added three extra dates to the initial 14 announced. After the pre-sale, the remaining tickets for the UK shows will go on general sale at 09:00 on Saturday, with Dublin tickets available an hour earlier. The tour will include performances in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, with the possibility of additional dates being announced.
Standard standing tickets are priced around £150, while standard seated tickets range from £73 to approximately £205. Prices for official premium packages can reach up to £506. As anticipation for the gigs grows, sales and streams of the band’s back catalog have surged. On Friday, three Oasis albums re-entered the UK top five chart: Greatest Hits collection Time Flies at number three, What’s The Story Morning Glory at number four, and debut Definitely Maybe at fifth place. A 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe was also released on Friday.
